What is Xerostomia (Dry Mouth)?

Dry mouth, also called xerostomia, is a persistent feeling that there is not enough saliva in your mouth. Depending on how severe your condition has become, it may cause a variety of symptoms such as a sticky or dry mouth, or you may find it difficult to swallow food.
